Darrell and Carolyn Spiers of Taylor celebrated their 50th anniversary on August 22, 2014 with family and friends. Their daughters hosted a surprise family dinner, followed by a celebration party in Taylor.
They were high school sweethearts. They married August 21, 1964 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized on September 1, 1978 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Their greatest joys in life are their children and grandchildren. They were blessed with four beautiful daughters: Chris (Gary) Jenkins; Genet Larkin (deceased); Heidi (Michael) Underwood and Natalie (Steven) Avis. They have 20 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren with three more on the way.
Darrell worked in the sheet metal industry for 12 years and Hill Field for 32 years. He enjoys raising and working with his horses. Carolyn worked for IRS for 20 years. She enjoys gardening and going to the temple.
Together they enjoy traveling, camping and spending time with family. They would like to thank all their family and friends for being such an important part of their lives.
