Happy 65th Anniversary!: Richard and Joan Kimber

Richard and Joan Kimber will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on November 17, 2017, with a family dinner. They were married on November 17, 1952.

Richard served in the USAF in Korea, before attending BYU. He worked for Summit School District for three years, and then moved to Brigham City to work for Box Elder School District. He served as a school counselor and personnel director before retiring as superintendent of the district. He now enjoys golf and working in his "leather shop."

Joan was employed as a secretary for Miller Real Estate and as a loan secretary at Zion's Bank. She has also been a 4-H trainer for USU Extension.

Both Richard and Joan have been active in the community. Richard served on the Box Elder Planning Commission and participated in the Brigham City sports programs. He has officiated and coached for USA Boxing. Joan has been active in the General Federation of Women's clubs, the Box Elder Symphonic Choir, other singing groups, and as a 4-H leader.

Their children are: Diane Leggett-Fife (Kent), Terry (Lorie), and JoDi Baird. They have 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
