David K. Morris, of West Point, will celebrate his 80th birthday with a family dinner.
He was born January 3, 1937, in Ogden to Earl W. and Mary Larrabe Morris, number 10 of 11 children. At age 17, in January 1954, he joined the Marines during the Korean War, and was released as a Sargent in January 1957.
David married Patsy Coleman March 29, 1957, and in June 2015, was sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. They have four children: Joni (Mark) Pennington, Lori (Bret) King, and Ryan (Stacy) Morris, Daren (deceased); 14 grandchildren (one deceased); and 14 great-grandchildren.
He retired from Data Automation HAFB as a computer specialist supervisor. He worked in private industry, selling small computers and related equipment.
He loves to hunt and fish. Deer hunting is his favorite. When there is a chill in the fall air, he gets the bug to go hunting.
