The family of Brent Thompson is pleased to announce his 80th birthday. He was born on March 22, 1937, in Ogden to Ezra and Louise Thompson. He was raised and spent most of his life in Roy. He now lives in Harrisville. Brent married the love of his life, Carole Heninger. They have been happily married for 62 years.
His children are: Carolyn Dandoy, Linda (Bryan) Wallace, David (Laurie) Thompson, Steven Thompson, Alan (Michele) Thompson and Curtis (Kathy) Thompson. He is very loved by his 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Dad has worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. He served in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division when he was a young man. He worked at HAFB and retired in 1986. He then began working at ATK Thiokol as a project manager on the Space Shuttle, which he enjoyed very much and retired in 1995.
As a member of the LDS church, he has served in many callings. He particularly enjoyed youth positions, which enabled him to be with his children as their coach and Scout Master. He served missions to the Washington D.C. Temple and Ogden LDS Employment Services. He also served in the Ogden Temple. He now serves as a teacher and has always been a wonderful Home Teacher.
Our Dad's life has been dedicated to God, his wife, and his children in everything he has done. We honored him with a surprise birthday party.
We love you Dad!
