The family moved to Ogden, UT, in June 1958, and he started working in construction. In October 1960, Uncle Sam sent his greeting saying "We need you," so he was drafted into the Army, served three years active duty, and 25 years in the Army Reserves, retiring in May 1998. He served in the Far East countries of Thailand, Japan and Hawaii. He was employed at HAFB for 31 years, attending college, while working, and graduating with a degree in tax accounting and business management.
Chris does volunteer work, mostly preparing taxes for seniors, for 43 years, at the senior centers. He was elected to the Clinton City Council for two years. He married the love of his life, Arcelia (Arcy) Martinez. They have been married for 52 plus years. They raised two sons: Jimmy and Tino; and one daughter, Antionette; they have 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
At present, he is a crossing guard for Clinton Elementary School. He enjoys being with family and traveling. Chris is a great guy with a heart of gold who's always available to help anybody in need.
