Donna Champneys was honored Saturday, November 4, 2017, for her 90th birthday with a surprise family dinner at Maddox Ranch House.
Donna was born in Lytton, Iowa, on November 26, 1927 to Bernice and Vivian Brown. She moved to Utah when she was three years old. She has resided in Tremonton, Ogden, and North Ogden the last 60 years.
She married her childhood friend and sweetheart, Irl L. Champneys, on August 20, 1948, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 22, 1957. Irl passed away June 14, 2004.
Her children are: Jan McFarland (deceased), Debra (Donald) Manley, Dana (Tony) Mook, and Diane (Marc) Hall. She is a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She has one sister, Sharron Vezzani. She has held many church callings as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Donna has resided at Quail Meadows in North Ogden since April 2016. Donna enjoys watching the Utah Jazz, playing bingo with her friends and visits from her family and friends.
