Bonnie Hunsaker will be 90 years on March 15, 2018. She will celebrate on March 17, 2018, by attending the Bountiful Temple with family, followed by lunch at El Matador in Bountiful.
She was born March 15, 1928, to Hans Peter Larsen and Melvina Burnside, on a farm close to Driggs, Idaho. She is the youngest of three children, Clint and Phyllis, both deceased. Her father died when she was 2 years old. The family loved the land and they grew up at the base of the Tetons. She graduated from Teton High School where she was very active in student government, sports, and drama.
She met her eternal companion, Donald Owen Hunsaker, while attending Utah State University and they were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 6, 1946. They were blessed with three children: Judy (Nolan) Adams, both deceased; Owen (Barb) Hunsaker; and Patricia (Lynn) McMillen. To her great joy, she has been blessed with five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She and Don spent their married life together, living in Ogden and Roy, Utah.
She retired from the IRS in 1989 after 27 years and she and Don spent lots of special time at their cabin in the Uintah Mountains and traveling until he passed, July 11, 1992.
She has always been active in the LDS Church and served in various callings in the Primary, Young Women, Ogden Temple, Relief Society, Stake Missionary and visiting teacher.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing games, traveling, plays, movies, reading and sewing.
