Our Dad, Tim Healy, was born on May 3, 1938, to Clifford Wayne Healy and Leah Fotheringham, in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School and Utah State University, where he met his Canadian sweetheart, Collette Card. They have enjoyed 56 wonderful years together.
Mom and Dad spent three exciting years in Washington, D.C. where Dad graduated from George Washington University National Law Center. Returning to Ogden, Dad had a successful law practice over the next 35 years. He also served as a Juvenile Court Commissioner for 20 years. He was always proud to be an attorney-at-law and helped thousands of clients.
Dad loves serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many ward and stake positions, including Bishop, High Counselor, Stake Presidency Counselor and Counselor to three Mission Presidents in the Ogden Utah Mission. He served a mission to the North Central States and then to Kirtland, Ohio, with Mom. They were also host missionaries at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for six years and then, ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Dad enjoys community service. He served as Pleasant View Mayor in the early 70s; on the Board of Adjustments; and Vice Chairman of the Weber Area Council of Governments.
Our Dad loves this great land of America. He served in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, retiring as a Colonel with 32 years of active and reserve service. He is "proud" to be an American.
Tim and Collette have six children: Jeff (Jackie) Healy, James (Angie) Healy, Jon (Priscilla) Healy, Jenny (Kevin) Norris, Sarah (Jared) Ingalsbe, and Jared Healy. They have 18 incredible grandchildren and two adorable great-grandsons.
Mom and Dad are still party animals! A family dinner will be held at Maddox.
Friends, family, and neighbors, please come and celebrate Dad's 80th with us over ice cream and cake. We'll have special patriotic music. Open House: Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Healy backyard, 3700 North 1100 West, Pleasant View.
