Lucinda was born June 10, 1938, to Eufracio and Louisa Rael Vigil, in Montrose, Colorado. She had three sisters and four brothers and was raised in Dragerton, Utah.
She graduated from Carbon High in Price. After high school, she moved to Ogden and stayed with her brother and his wife, until she married her husband, Anthony Perez, whom she met at a dance while he was on leave from the Navy.
They married on October 29, 1960. She started working at Thiokol and later quit to start a family. Later she worked for the U.S. Forest Service and retired from the IRS.
Lucinda and Tony were blessed with four children: Juan and Rita (daughter) Orosco, Michael and Robin Perez, Paula (daughter) Perez, and Gina (daughter) Phillips; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Together they traveled extensively throughout the world. Her hobbies include crocheting, Sudoku, reading, going to movies, and dancing.
