RIVERDALE — If you’re a crafter in Northern Utah, listen up.

The new Hobby Lobby in Riverdale will officially open for business early next week, according to a news release from the company.

The store will officially open with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday, July 31. Members of the public are invited to attend the event.

The new crafting store is located near 801 W. Riverdale Road.

Hobby Lobby owns more than 750 stores in 47 states. The Riverdale store will be the seventh location in Utah.

The crafting and home decor store is part of the Riverdale Town Square development area. Other businesses coming to the development are Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Wingstop, MOD Pizza and The Habit Burger Grill, which officially opened June 21.

The 55,000-square-foot store is expected to bring 35 to 50 jobs to the community, with full-time associates earning $15.70 per hour and part-time workers earning $10.45, according to previous Standard-Examiner reporting.
