HUNTSVILLE — Snowbasin Resort will have a new general manager next month.

Davy Ratchford will replace retiring General Manager John Loomis, who has been at the resort for six years, the company said in a press release Thursday, April 19.

Ratchford was previously the senior director of marketing and strategic alliance at Park City Mountain and the director of marketing at Vail Mountain in Colorado and Northstar Resort in California.

“I am excited for the opportunity to build on what John has done for Snowbasin,” Ratchford said in the press release. “Snowbasin is an amazing mountain with a staff that cares deeply about its guests. I am committed to its success and will do my very best to deliver on the promise of this legendary mountain.”

Loomis worked with Davy in California and said he will be an asset to the resort.
