The summer heat is in full swing, and there’s plenty to do around Utah.
Take a look at a few of the many events that are going on around and outside of Northern Utah.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Salt Lake City’s Liberty Park afternoon farmer’s market, which takes place every Friday during the summer. Whether you’re in the mood for crepes, cakes or a slice of pizza, you’ll find it at the Liberty Park Market, along with many other products and foods.

The National Hot Rod Diesel Association will have their Rocky Mountain Nationals on Friday and Saturday. Day one of the nationals will consist of drag races, burnout contests and other events that will take place at Rocky Mountain Raceways in West Valley City. Saturday’s events will take place at Toole’s Deseret Peak Complex, and will consist of truck and tractor pulls.

Are you a runner? Start your day by running or walking a 5K in celebration of Draper Days. A special 1K race will be held for the kids, so be sure to bring them along. Awards will be given out for the top finishers in different categories. If you’re not the biggest runner, enlist your friends and make a team for the race.

Hit the streets and let loose this weekend during the annual Street Dance in Logan. The dance, sponsored and hosted by Caffe Ibis, will benefit Four Paws Rescue in Logan. If you like live music and good food, this is the event for you.

Enjoy your Sunday brunch while listening to a gospel choir in the heart of Salt Lake City. Sip a mimosa or Bloody Mary and take in the music provided by Debra Bonner Unity Gospel Choir, a group of 25 singers that will surely start your day on the right foot. Tickets are required for entrance and include two drink tickets.

The American International School of Utah wants Utah kids ages 12-18 to learn about our state alongside international students. In the Western Wonders program, students will learn about the geography, history and culture of the Western national parks. The AISU Camp will expose students to a variety of topics, ranging from learning in the AISU Dance Studio to sampling Salt Lake City’s diverse array of food trucks.

Folk Rock Band The Coteries will be playing at the American Fork Concerts in the Park Series. Come enjoy this Colorado-based band as they get audiences on their feet while playing their high-energy music. Be a part of all the fun on Monday evening in American Fork.
