FRIDAY, Oct. 6

Bond & Bentley — Coming all the way from Baltimore, Bond & Bentley take the PBR stage, bringing their own mix of rock, reggae, blues, soul and funk. This will certainly make for one hell of a night of music. 8:30 p.m. to midnight, Lighthouse Lounge, 130 25th St., Ogden. $5

Rhythm Combo CD Release with Salt Flat Trio — Rhythm Combo makes a stop at their favorite place in Ogden with a brand spankin’ new CD. Special guests Mr. Guitar Jerry Cochran & The Salt Flat Trio will play as well. Rare Ogden appearances for both bands. 8 p.m. to midnight, Funk ‘n Dive Bar, 2550 Washington Blvd., Ogden. $5

Rocktober — Fifteen seriously awesome bands over two days for $5? Yes, please! Northern Utah’s premier rock music fest kicks off Friday night, featuring headliner Royal Bliss. The music continues Saturday morning when Fall Market opens and Imagine Music takes over the stage. As the market winds down around, School of Rock bands heat up the main stage and the night rolls on with another killer lineup leading up to headliner Foreign Figures. 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Ogden Amphitheater, 343 25th St., Ogden. World Golden Memories International Tour — This diverse production showcases famous world music of the 19th and 20th centuries in one beautiful, moving performance. An international piano duo will be accompanied by the Star Gate Orchestra as they give these wonderful melodies new life. Hear the best of music from around the globe in this one-of-a-kind, riveting production. Fat Candice — Forged in Salt Lake in 2012, Fat Candice vowed to bring back grit, energy, sophistication, back to rock music. Armed with experienced musicians, a full repertoire of covers and many originals numbers, Fat Candice is on a mission to rock your socks off! 9:00 p.m. to midnight, Funk ‘n Dive Bar, 2550 Washington Blvd., Ogden. $5

NEXT Underground Series: Music Without Borders with Rahim AlHaj — Music is known as the universal language where all people are welcome, and nothing makes that more clear than the music of Rahim Al Haj and his virtuoso performance of the very first stringed instrument, the Oud. This special concert will feature classical fusion music from his new album, “Letters from Iraq,” and will also have music from Syria and Iran as well. Local string musicians mix with music from the East. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Alleged, 201 25th St., Ogden. $10

Penrose — Get ready for a rip-roaring night of rock and roll when Penrose takes the PBR Stage. This four-piece outfit mixes the best in rock, blues and indie rock to bring exceptional performances time and time again. This will be one killer night of music you won’t want to miss.  8:30 p.m. to midnight, Lighthouse Lounge, 130 25th St., Ogden. $5

SUNDAY, Oct. 8

WSU Symphony Orchestra Concert — For their inaugural concert of the 2017-18 season, the Weber State University Symphony Orchestra welcomes Iraqi-American musician, composer and player, Rahim AlHaj. Virtuoso oud player, composer and political refugee Rahim AIHaj deftly combines traditional Iraqi maqams with contemporary stylings. His music speaks to the heart in the universal language of compassion. 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts, 1901 University Circle, Ogden. $6-7


Jazz at the Station — The WSU Jazz Combo performs at October’s Jazz at the Station. The combo members are Weber State University students also enrolled in the WSU Jazz Ensemble. Both the combo and the ensemble are under the direction of Dan Jonas. 7 to 8 p.m., Ogden’s Union Station Foundation, 2501 Wall Ave., Ogden. FREE.

THURSDAY, October 12

Blackkiss @ Ogden Unplugged — This Thursday’s Ogden Unplugged will feature a performance by Blackkiss. Come out early to play our acoustic open mic. Bring your favorite guitar or play on a provided guitar. 7 to 11 p.m., Lighthouse Lounge, 130 25th St., Ogden. FREE
