WASHINGTON TERRACE — The community is invited to attend a talk based on the book “America's Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege, and the Bridge to a New America,” by Jim Wallace (Brazos Press, $10.58).

Dennis Barrett, a lay minister at Community United Methodist Church, will give the talk twice at the church, at 9 a.m. and again at 11 a.m., both on Sunday, March 12.

Barrett and his wife, Sue, together teach an ongoing 10:30 a.m. Sunday School class at the church, which is also based on the book.

Sue Barrett will speak with her husband at the 9 a.m. presentation and teach the class by herself Sunday as he gives the second talk alone.

The church is located at 163 W. 4800 South.
