Some area Christian churches have provided a list of their Holy Week offerings for Sunday, April 9, through Easter Sunday, April 16.

Nearly every Christian church has special services in the next week. Check your local church listings for offerings not listed here.

11 a.m. Palm Sunday, April 9, the Speaking Choir will perform "These Rocks Cry Out" by Michael Halcomb and "Down the River" by Edward Abbey.

6 p.m. Maundy Thursday, potluck dinner and Service of Holy Communion.

Noon to 7 p.m. Good Friday exhibit, “The Spiritual Dimensions of Good Friday," a self-guided exploration of denial, judgment, lying, mob mentality, forgiveness, comfort, submission, awareness, grief and preparation. 

Noon to 8 p.m. Saturday Easter vigil, the church will be open for prayer and meditation.

Easter Sunday: 9 a.m., The Creation Service will be at Beus Pond Park, 1576 Country Hills Drive. At 11 a.m., the Celebration service will feature a children's pageant, Holy Communion (open to everyone) and a remembrance of baptism. After worship is an Easter egg hunt, pie and fellowship.

Good Friday: 3 p.m. simplified version, 7 p.m. regular service

10 a..m. Easter Sunday service will be followed by an Easter breakfast of bacon, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, fruit, coffee, tea, milk and juice. Suggested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 through 12, and a maximum donation per family of $25.

7 p.m. Good Friday worship will feature a visual and auditory meditation on Stations of the Cross contemporary artworks, which will arrive from Washington, D.C. 

10 a.m. Saturday Easter egg hunt with drama, crafts and games. All children, parents and grandparents welcome.

10 a.m. Easter worship will include music by the Chancel Choir and Bell Tones and an Easter sermon by the Rev. Kim James.
