Jason Tonioli, a piano composer from Hooper, has released his seventh album, "Favorite Hymns," a compilation of recordings with a trio of women who make up the group CaraNua.
HOOPER — Jason Tonioli, a Hooper resident and composer of piano music, has announced the release of his seventh CD.
“Favorite Hymns” is the first to be released. The second, “Heal the World,” is scheduled for release in the spring.
After playing an Easter concert with Sharpe, Tonioli invited members of CaraNua to Utah to record.
“The plan was to record two or three songs,” Tonioli said. “We recorded 23 songs during a two-week time period when they were here.”
CaraNua singer Hilary has a sister with Down Syndrome and has an affinity for helping people with special needs, Tonioli said.
