W. Clinton Elementary playground on fire

CLINTON — The playground at West Clinton Elementary School, 2826 W. 1800 North, caught fire Monday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m. large flumes of black smoke seen from his home caught of the attention of Clinton resident, Chad Park.

“I walked that direction,” he said, “and noticed the whole jungle gym area completely engulfed in flames.”

Police are investigating the cause of the fire and how it began.
