Happy National French Fry Day! July 13 is a great day for french fry lovers to enjoy an order — or two. 

With suggestions from the Salt Lake Tribune, KSL, Only in Your State, the Utah tourism office and Yelp reviewers, we’ve rounded up five restaurants in Northern Utah and Salt Lake City that are known for their delicious french fries.

Burger Bar

This family-owned drive-in is known for its delicious burgers, but what’s a great burger without some fresh french fries? Ask for the hand-cut fries to give your meal an old-fashioned feel.    

Address: 5291 S. 1900 West, Roy

Hours: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; closed Sunday.

Spitz

This Salt Lake City restaurant serves up Mediterranean-style street food, including its street cart fries — piled with garlic, feta, tomatoes, olives and aioli. Yum.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; Broadway location open until midnight Friday and Saturday.

Tonyburgers

Tonyburgers boasts its 10-step process for making fries, including trimming potatoes by hand and soaking them for an hour. The result? Some tasty shoestring fries.

Lucky 13 Bar & Grill

This Salt Lake City sports bar’s fries come in original, Cajun and rosemary garlic — and you can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re cut thick and smell delicious.

The Bayou

Get a taste of Louisiana at The Bayou, where you can order sweet potato fries, regular fries or a combination of both. Enjoy them with a bit of their famous garlic-chipotle aioli and a locally brewed beer.
