BOUNTIFUL — Roy took a 21-7 lead into halftime and held off Bountiful for a 24-14 region win.
Roy (3-3, 1-1 Region 5) scored on a double pass, a 10-yard Trace Tupe rush after the Royals blocked a Braves field goal attempt, a 60-yard punt return from Josh Gallegos and a Braulio Razo field goal.
Bountiful (3-3, 1-1) scored on rushing touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters.

WOODS CROSS 23, DAVIS 7
WOODS CROSS — Woods Cross took a 14-7 lead at the half, then used defense to stifle Davis and score points in the non-region contest.
Woods Cross (5-1, 1-0 Region 5) scored first-half touchdowns on a 27-yard pass from Ashton Fornelius to Caden Brewster and a Fornelius 7-yard run.
In the second half, Nuuletau Sellesin blocked a Davis punt and Tanner Miller recovered it for a touchdown. Woods Cross added a fourth-quarter safety to round out the scoring.
Davis (1-5, 1-2 Region 1) scored its only touchdown on a Zack Mansfield 66-yard punt return.
VIEWMONT 38, BOX ELDER 13
BOUNTIFUL — Viewmont built a 24-6 halftime lead and didn’t look back to claim a win over Box Elder in its region opener.
Cameron Brown opened the scoring with a 72-yard scamper in the first quarter and capped the scoring for Viewmont (4-2, 1-0 Region 5) with a 16-yard run in the fourth.
In the third, Davis Weir hit Lucas Bushey for a 61-yard touchdown pass.
Jeremy Kaleikini punched in runs of 13 and 1 yards to account for Box Elder’s (2-4, 0-2) scoring.
STANSBURY 56, OGDEN 20
OGDEN — Ogden took a 20-14 lead late in the second quarter, but Stansbury (3-3, 2-0 Region 11) took a 21-20 lead on a 4th and goal run just before halftime and used a bruising rushing attack to wear down the Tigers and score 35 unanswered in the second half.
Ogden (2-4, 1-1) was led by Nick Freeman, who threw touchdown passes of 56 yards to Rhyle Hanson and 41 yards to Aden Cleverley. The Cleverly score came one play after a successful onside kick to follow the Hanson touchdown.
Ogden’s last score came on a 1-yard Chase Butler rush to finish a drive that was extended by a fake punt.
BONNEVILLE 24, PARK CITY 10
PARK CITY — After a 7-7 halftime tie, Bonneville scored 17 second-half points in the region win at Park City.
Bonneville (2-4, 1-1 Region 11) fell behind 10-7 early in the second half before surging to the win over the Miners (3-3, 1-1).
TOOELE 37, BEN LOMOND 7
OGDEN — Ben Lomond fell behind early and couldn’t recover in a home region loss to Tooele.
Ben Lomond (0-6, 0-2 Region 11) scored in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard toss from Darion Hererra to Tayshon Doss.
Tooele (3-3, 1-1) led 27-0 after three quarters.
BEAR RIVER 26, GREEN CANYON 7
NORTH LOGAN — Bear River rode a stout defense to build on a 7-0 halftime lead and collect the road region win.
Bear River (4-2, 1-1 Region 12) intercepted Green Canyon (2-4, 1-1) three times, including one from Parker Coombs he returned for a touchdown with 3:50 left in the first quarter.
Easton Payne scored on runs of 4 yards and 6 yards. The Bears also scored on a 6-yard pass from Bradey Brown to Jacob Olsen in the third quarter.
Bear River forced four turnovers, with Olsen hauling in two interceptions to go with the Coombs pick.
SKY VIEW 16, MOUNTAIN CREST 13
HYRUM — Cole Stokes capped a 99-yard drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown as time expired to give Sky View the region road win in a battle of unbeatens.
Sky View (6-0, 2-0 Region 12) took a 10-6 lead into halftime thanks to a 23-yard Stokes field goal and a 21-yard touchdown pass from Jackson Siddoway to Mason Falslev.
Mountain Crest (5-1, 1-1) got a second-quarter 17-yard touchdown pass from Brady Hall to Creedyn Foulger and a 38-yard catch-and-run from Hall to Cameron Moser in the third quarter.
MORGAN 28, JUDGE MEMORIAL 21
SALT LAKE CITY — Morgan scored a touchdown in each quarter for the region road win.
Morgan moved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in 3-A North play with the victory.
LAYTON CHRISTIAN 7, KANAB 0
LAYTON — On a mucky field, freshman quarterback Jaice Holt scored on a 2-yard keeper with 11:48 left in the game to win the non-region battle.
The scoring play was set up by a Kolbie Tiznado interception, then a 16-yard Ryleigh McCombs pass to Holt that moved the Eagles (3-3) to the Kanab 9 and into the red zone for the only time in the game.
Malcolm Smauldon intercepted two Kanab fourth quarter passes to preserve the shutout.
