The location for the 3A high school football championship has been changed, the UHSAA announced Monday.

The 3A title game between Morgan and Juan Diego will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Weber State University’s Stewart Stadium.

The game was previously scheduled to be played at Southern Utah University.

Morgan is coming off a 34-18 victory over Juab in the semifinals last week and defeated Richfield 27-13 in the quarterfinals. The Trojans are now 9-2 after winning the 3A North region and advancing to the championship game.

Juan Diego is 10-2. It qualified for the playoffs as the third seed from 3A South but was part of a three-way tie for the region title. Juan Diego defeated Carbon 66-6 in the first round, then squeaked by Grantsville (14-13) and Summit Academy (38-37) to reach the title game.

Morgan is playing for its first state championship since 1997. Juan Diego is the two-time defending 3A champions.
