South African golfer Jacques Blaauw fired a 10-under 61, rocketing to the top of the Web.com Tour’s Utah Championship leaderboard headed into Sunday’s final round at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington.
Blaauw ended his round with five birdies in his last six holes and also eagled No. 7. He’s 18-under for the tournament.
Rob Oppenheim, who was tied for third place after two rounds, shot 5-under Saturday to tie Blaauw for first.
Round 2: Christian Brand shoots course record
Kyle Wilshire, who led at 16-under following Friday’s round, shot 3-over and tumbled to 16th place, five shots off the lead.
After shooting 10-under Friday, Christian Brand shot 1-under Saturday, enough to keep pace and land tied for fifth.
Sunday’s final round tees off at 8:40 a.m. Leaders Blaauw and Oppenheim are scheduled to tee off at 3 p.m.
