PLEASANT VIEW — Bonneville scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game 7-7 before Weber scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh to win 8-7.

HERRIMAN 18, FREMONT 12

PLAIN CITY — Fremont fell in a shootout at home Tuesday against Herriman. Ashtyn Meibos hit two home runs and had five RBIs for the Silver Wolves and Aubrey Morrow hit a two-run homer.

Miranda Dee had a 2-for-4 day with a home run three RBIs for the Warriors, who went up 5-0 after the first inning. Ashlyn Tingey went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a double.

ROY 10, LOGAN 2

ROY — Maysa Averett struck out 16 Logan batters as Roy picked up a big win at home Tuesday.

Kalli Jamison went 2 for 4 with a bases-clearing triple and Ana Palmer went 2 for 3 with a two-run double. The Grizzlies tied the game 2-2 in the top of the fourth, to which the Royals responded with a five-run outburst.

BOX ELDER 18, VIEWMONT 0

BOUNTIFUL — Box Elder scored eight runs in the first inning en route to a run-rule victory against Viewmont.

Nyah Deryke pitched the shutout for the Bees, allowing two hits with six strikeouts while also going 4 for 5 with five RBIs at the plate.

Brylee Marziale went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Kyra Hardy went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and Mallory Merrill went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

BASEBALL

NORTHRIDGE 10, ROY 5

LAYTON — Northridge used an eight-run fourth inning to beat Roy 10-5 on Tuesday. Scott Daybell went 2 for 3 at the plate with two triples and two RBIs for the Knights.

Ryker Cap and Paul Fomby both went 2 for 4 and Drew West went 1 for 4 with a bases-clearing triple for Northridge. West was the Knights’ winning pitcher, tossing two innings and allowing one run with four strikeouts.

Jack Hulce went 2 for 2 with a double and a triple, and Wyatt Richards went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for the Royals. Freshman Jaxon Dart went 2 for 3 with one RBI.

HIGHLAND 16, OGDEN 5

OGDEN — Ogden fell at home to Highland on Tuesday.

BONNEVILLE 8, LOGAN 6

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bonneville went behind 6-0 after three innings, but roared back with three runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth inning to beat Logan.

Bridger Buttars went 2 for 3 with a three-run homer for the Lakers. Joey Morgan was the winning pitcher, entering in the second inning and pitching the remaining six innings with five strikeouts.

Brian Jones went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Will Toller went 1 for 4 with two RBIs.

DAVIS 6, BOUNTIFUL 1

BOUNTIFUL — Davis took a 5-1 lead after three innings in a win at Bountiful Tuesday.

BOX ELDER 12, MOUNTAIN CREST 7

HYRUM — Box Elder scored two or more runs in four straight innings as the Bees downed Mountain Crest 12-7.

Jake Holgate went 4 for 5 with three doubles and an RBI, while Jace Meyers went 1 for 2 with a two-run home run in the fifth inning and three walks for Box Elder. Bryan Ramirez went 2 for 5 with three RBIs and Porter Cochran went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer in the third inning.

MORGAN 15, NORTH SUMMIT 5

COALVILLE — Morgan scored in four of the five innings Tuesday and scored a run rule-shortened win over North Summit.

Ryder Lish had a 3-for-3 day at the plate with a triple, home run and three RBIs for the Trojans.

Pitchers TC Rhodes and Cade Peterson combined for the complete game; Rhodes struck out nine batters and Peterson struck out six while also going 2 for 2 at the plate.

NORTH SEVIER 22 & 22, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 1 & 8

SALINA — Gerrit Sterk hit a home run for Layton Christian in its second game of a doubleheader loss to North Sevier on Tuesday. North Sevier won both games.

WEBER 2, PROVO 0

PLEASANT VIEW — Max Price scored two second-half goals to lead Weber over Provo.

Reed Stewart assisted the first goal, scored in the 49th minute. Price’s second goal, in the 52nd minute, was a double assist by the Warriors’ keeper Charlie Wheelwright and Eric Morris.

Wheelwright earned the shutout for the Warriors.

DAVIS 6, GREEN CANYON 0

KAYSVILLE — Matthew Ferre and Joshua Hardwood both scored twice as Davis thrashed Green Canyon Tuesday. The Darts scored four goals in the first half.

Jeremy Sommer and Carter Ray scored a goal each for Davis, and Sommer had three assists.

MOUNTAIN CREST 3, BOUNTIFUL 1

BOUNTIFUL — Kaleb Burke scored in the 20th minute to tie the game, but Mountain Crest outscored Bountiful 2-0 in the second half to claim the victory.

LAYTON CHRISTIAN 9, NORTH SANPETE 0

LAYTON — Layton Christian scored seven goals in the first half on the way to the rout of North Sanpete.

Kolby Olson recorded a hat trick and Thiago Padilha scored twice. Gaaga Isidore, Marc Barcelo Tomas, Chris Park and Jesus Tomasi each found the back of the net for the Eagles.

Thiago Nava earned the clean sheet between the pipes.

NORTHRIDGE 2, HUNTER 2

LAYTON — Caden Nelson and Jake Hotchkiss scored for Northridge as the Knights battled Hunter to a 2-2 draw in their season opener Tuesday.

BOX ELDER 2, SYRACUSE 1

BRIGHAM CITY — Bryce Backman and Alex Stevens scored in the first half and Box Elder held off a late Titans surge to get a 2-1 home win. Dyson Clapier scored Syracuse’s goal.

VIEWMONT 2, LONE PEAK 1

BOUNTIFUL — Andres Bermudez and Josh Beckman scored as Viewmont beat Lone Peak on Tuesday.

WOODS CROSS 5, BEAR RIVER 0

WOODS CROSS — Woods Cross led 2-0 at halftime then poured in three second-half goals to win its second game of the season.

Five players scored for the Wildcats: Matt Mangleson, Kayson Parkin, Josh Beard, Alberto Ortiz and Davis Creer.
