BEAR RIVER 3, RIDGELINE 2

GARLAND — Oaklee Trapp hit a walk-off home run in the seventh inning to lift Bear River to a Region 12 victory over Ridgeline.

Taylor Fox doubled to account for the Bears’ other extra-base hit. Kapri Toone pitched a complete game in the win, giving up six hits.

GRANTSVILLE 12, MORGAN 0

MORGAN — Grantsville scored 11 runs across the first three innings and allowed just one Morgan hit in a run-rule shortened game.

STANSBURY 17, OGDEN 0

STANSBURY PARK — Stansbury scored 10 runs in the first inning to run-rule Ogden for a Region 11 win.

The Tigers were no-hit in the three-inning contest, the first loss for pitcher Logann Thompson and Ogden this season.

ROY 2, MORGAN 1

OGDEN — Colton Hill and Peyton Craven each scored first-half goals for to put Roy ahead at the break in a non-region contest at Spence Eccles Ogden Community Sports Complex.

Morgan’s Jacob Firby scored the only goal in the second half.

BEAR RIVER 2, GREEN CANYON 1

GARLAND — After a scoreless first half, Bear River scored twice in a six-minute span in their Region 12 win.

Christian Sanchez scored in the 61st minute on a rebound of his own shot. Cyrus Minor put the Bears ahead 2-0 in the 67th minute on a cross from Ramon Windmiller.

Green Canyon scored in the 69th on a beautiful free kick that slipped under the crossbar just over the outstretched fingers of a leaping Logan Pond.

BASEBALL

BEAR RIVER 13, MOUNTAIN CREST 1

GARLAND — Bear River scored seven runs in the second inning to blow open the game and deal Mountain Crest a five inning defeat in Region 12 action.

Wyatt Roholt led Bear River at the plate, going 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs from the leadoff spot. Jake Dahle went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Tyke Nessen added two hits and three RBIs.

Dahle pitched all five innings for the win, surrendering five hits and one earned run while striking out seven.

LAYTON 10, MAGNOLIA-CA 0

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Layton scored early and often in its shutout defeat of Magnolia (California).

The Lancers tallied two runs in the first inning, three in the second, three more in the third and two in the fifth. Tanner Kofoed went 3 for 4 with two triples and three RBIs to lead Layton.

SEGERSTROM-CA 8, WOODS CROSS 0

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Woods Cross managed just three hits in a loss to Segerstrom (California) on Tuesday at the Century Classic.

DANA HILLS-CA 8, BOUNTIFUL 0

IRVINE, Calif. — Bountiful was shut out for the second straight time in the RL Invitational played at Irvine, California.

In Tuesday’s game, the Braves tallied three hits against the Dana Hills (California) Dolphins. In Monday’s action, Bountiful fell to Tustin (California) 7-0.

TOOELE 8, OGDEN 6

OGDEN — Ogden took a 3-0 lead after two innings, but Tooele scored five runs in the third and two more in the fourth for a Region 11 road win. Ogden had six hits on the day, all singles.

PARK CITY 13, BEN LOMOND 0

PARK CITY — Ben Lomond gave up seven Park City runs in the first inning and were no-hit by the Miners in the Region 11 loss. The Scots had one runner reach base on a walk.

JUDGE MEMORIAL 14, MORGAN 1

MORGAN — Judge Memorial scored four runs in the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead, then plated six more in the sixth to take a Region 13 game over Morgan by run rule.

The Trojans, who were held to three hits on the day, scored their lone run in the fifth, cutting Judge’s lead to 8-1.
