Clinton firefighters have always behaved professionally

Editor,

In reference to article of July 30, “Clinton female firefighter's suit: Males walked around nude,” I have served under the direction of the Clinton Fire Dept. asCommunity Emergency Response Team (CERT) coordinator for the past three years. During that time, the fire department has had three fire chiefs and one acting fire chief. I can only attest to the loyal support I have always had from the firefighters and Clinton city manager Dennis Cluff. They have aided me many times in the training of our CERT team.

As a woman I have never felt discriminated against or been subjected to anything sexual. I can only commend Clinton city for the superior serviced offered to our community from all of our professional responders. We are a very tight-knit community and the charges that are facing our firemen affect all of us.

I am acquainted with Shelly Drescher as well and feel for her anguish. She has been a strong supporter of the city and the CERT program as well.
