President-elect Donald Trump has not accepted the findings of our government intelligence agencies in regard to Russia’s attempt to influence our 2016 elections by hacking. It appears he doesn’t want to antagonize President Vladimir Putin because of his business interests in Russia. Instead, he seeks to improve relations with Russia, even though Russia, and specifically Putin, do not have our best interests at heart. This seems like a serious conflict of interest.
We should be deeply concerned about letting Trump continue involvement in his businesses while in the White House. Our country will not be safe when his global decisions are made based on his personal finances and businesses rather than the best interests of the United States of America.
