OGDEN — A web series is being filmed at Ogden High School through September.

Ogden School District spokesman Jer Bates said “Youth and Consequences” will be filmed at the school during the coming weeks.

“Presuming the pilot season is renewed, their plan would be to do all subsequent filming only during the summer,” Bates said. “Their plan initially had been to do it this summer but they got behind.”

Production trailers were clustered in a parking lot at 30th Street and Harrison Boulevard Thursday, Aug. 17 and district spokeswoman Skyler Pyle said they had been there for about a week.

Those on scene associated with filming declined to comment on the record.

Bates said the show is slated to be a teen “dramedy” — a comedy and drama.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a series named “Youth and Consequences” is the result of YouTube creators attending the Sundance Film Festival and developing their ideas into shows.

One of those shows, “Youth and Consequences” comes from filmmaker Anna Akana and was developed by Jason Ubaldi.

An IMDB webpage for “Youth and Consequences” lists Akana as a cast member along with Mike Grey, who has appeared in “The Carmichael Show” and “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and Savannah Jayde, who has appeared in “Big Time Rush” and “Melissa and Joey.”

Bates said the school district agreed to the filming because the production company is going to avoid any undue interruptions to classes and eliminate any liability or safety issues. Bates also said Board of Education leadership gave it a green light.

Bates said the district is being compensated for the use of the school. A follow-up inquiry asking for the dollar figure wasn’t responded to as of 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

Ogden High has been a filming location before, as 1987’s “Three O'Clock High” was shot there.
