Since Veterans Day falls on a Saturday this year, many of the government services and other offices that are closed on holidays will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10 this year. But not all.

Most federal offices; State of Utah offices; county offices, including Weber and Davis; and city government facilities, including Ogden, North Ogden and Layton, will be closed Friday.

One exception is the U.S. Postal Service, which will be open and delivering mail Friday but not Saturday.

The Utah State Liquor Stores and other Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control facilities will be closed on Friday, but stores that are normally open on Saturday will still be open that day.

Most schools remain open Friday, but Weber School District elementary students will get out early that day for teacher development.
