Two outdoor films this weekend

Wednesday , August 13, 2014 - 5:18 PM

Don’t miss the opportunity to travel “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz,” or putting on your racing gear to join “Turbo” for a spin on a snail’s pace. Both outdoor screenings are free, and start at dusk.

• “The Wizard of Oz” (1939, PG), Aug. 15 at Founders Park, 300 N. 100 East, Centerville. This is the big screen classic, about a Kansas teen and her escapist dreams, in Technicolor. For more information, call 801-295-3477.

• “Turbo” (2013, PG), Aug. 16 at Heritage Park, 250 N. Fairfield Road, Kaysville. A snail dreams of racing, and then lives the dream. For more information, call 801-544-1788. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets, but chairs are welcome. A concession stand will be available.
