OGDEN — Today The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is conducting a media tour of the newly remodeled Ogden temple.
Photo or video recording was not allowed inside the temple during the tour, but we described what can be seen inside the temple. See the tweets shared on Twitter by our photographer Briana Scroggins.
The tabernacle next to the Ogden Temple. There is new underground parking and an entirely new exterior on the temple.
The temple open house begins Aug. 1 and continues through Sept. 6, open every day 8 a.m.-8 p.m. except Mondays when it closes at 5 p.m. The temple will close every Sunday. Temple tours are free to the public, but reservations are required; schedule your visit at templeopenhouse.org
Officials have said they expect 500,000 to 700,000 visitors to Ogden for the public tours of the temple.
There are now more opportunities to get tickets for the Ogden LDS temple open house next month.
Church officials have said more tickets would be made available following Tuesday’s media tour of the temple.
Interest in getting tickets to the open house of the Ogden temple was so great last Monday that the website where tickets could be reserved crashed several times.
