Dennis Carl Barlow, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away February 7, 2018, at the age of 75. He was born May 28, 1942, in Bountiful, Utah, to Wilford Shreeve and Gladys Miller Barlow. He graduated from Bountiful High School. He attended BYU. He was a missionary in the North Central States Mission.

He had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and served as a Bishopric counselor, Stake YM President, Stake Missionary, Temple Worker and many other callings. He also served many years with the Boy Scouts of America as a Scout leader, district chairman and was the recipient of the Silver Beaver award.

He was employed by the Utah Highway Patrol for 21 years, retiring in 1989. After his retirement, he worked at Smiths & Edwards, Big Boy Toys and Sportsman's Warehouse.

He enjoyed archery, hunting, camping and riding his 4-wheeler.

He was sealed to his eternal companion, Patricia Ann Lovering, on February 14, 1964, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; his children: Lori Kelley, Keli (Steve) Peterson, Brad (Kathleen) Barlow, Kevin (Nikki) Barlow, Scott (Megan) Barlow and Amanda (Nate) Thorsted; brothers, Larry (Tilly) Barlow and Rick (Judy) Barlow; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond 5th ward building 3350 North 1050 East, North Ogden, Utah. Family and friends may gather Friday evening, February 16, 2018, at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden, Utah.
