Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 86, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, surrounded by his family at the Tremonton Hospital, to be greeted by his son, Tommy after 50 years apart.
Thomas Wheatley Walker was born April 12, 1932. Tom was the son of Heber Lorin and Ethel Wheatley Walker. He was the second youngest of eight children. Tom was raised on the family farm in Honeyville, where he learned the value of hard work.
Tom married his loving wife, Marilyn McBride on June 17, 1950. They raised their four children in Honeyville. Tom worked for his father-in-law, Marion, with the McBride Rodeo Company where he rode bare back and bulls. He also worked at Honeyville Grain, he retired from Big J Mill after 32 years. He enjoyed his retirement taking care of their cows at the family farm in Harper Ward and summering them in Dry Lake where they enjoyed camping and spending time with their family. Tom was always the life of the party.
Tom is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 68 years; his children: Linda (John) Reese of Brigham City; Ladd (Cindy) Walker of Harper Ward; and Vickie (Curtis) Anderson of Honeyville; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; his brother, LeWayne (Grace) Walker of Honeyville; and sister-in-law, Dixie Neves of Logan.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; son, Thomas (Tommy) Marion Walker; three sisters, three brothers, his in-laws and a brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be held for family and close friends at 11 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018, with a viewing prior to the service from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Meyers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. Interment will be held at the Honeyville Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lish, Honeyville First Responders, Tremonton Hospital Emergency staff and Laurie Abraham for their loving care.
