Jimmy Glenn Duncan

Jimmy was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on June 24, 1939, to Barney and Myrtle Duncan.

He completed his life journey just four days short of his 79th birthday at the Hemet Valley Medical Center, Hemet, CA., surrounded by his family on June 20, 2018.

Jimmy grew up in Ada, Oklahoma, and moved to the state of Utah, where he spent most of his adult life. He graduated from Olympus High School, Holladay, Utah, and was awarded a football scholarship to college in Grand Junction, Colorado. He later attended Weber State University, Ogden, Utah.

Jimmy served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy, the majority of his time aboard the USS Independence aircraft carrier. He and his first wife, Carolyn, were the parents of one daughter and one son. He spent his working days with Wonder Bread and Vermont American in Ogden.

Jimmy's main outside hobby was golf, at which he excelled and won many tournaments and prizes. He enjoyed many happy hours on the golf course with his wife, Thelma who shared his love of the game.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; daughter, Diane Holzinger (Eric); three grandchildren: Brandi Anstey (Dennis), Tyler Holzinger and Morgan Holzinger; four great-grandchildren: Preslee, Josslyn, Maverick, and Avacynn; one sister, June Cope.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Daniel Glenn. He will be interned at Washington Heights Cemetery, Ogden, Utah.
