SOUTH SALT LAKE — Authorities have arrested two young men suspected of fatally shooting a 40-year-old man last month who was sitting inside a pickup truck parked in a South Salt Lake alley.

Court documents filed Monday show officials charged 20-year-old Irving Nunez of Kearns and 19-year-old Ernesto Navarro of West Valley City on Monday.

Prosecutors say Nunez and Navarro got into a dispute with the occupants of a pickup truck and later tracked the vehicle down in an alley near 100 East Helm.

Authorities say they fired at the truck, killing 40-year-old Francisco Antonio Colon and wounding a 17-year-old boy, who fled the scene.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1rom4SU) both Nunez and Navarro have been charged with murder, obstructing justice and firearms charges.
