FARMINGTON — A man convicted of downloading and viewing child pornography for at least three years was sentenced Tuesday in 2nd District Court and will spend about four more months in the Davis County Jail.

Shane Parke Lloyd, 36, was also sentenced by Judge Glen Dawson to three years of probation. His sentence includes two 1- to 15-year prison terms, but those are suspended given he abides by the terms of his probation. Lloyd was ordered to spend 270 days in jail but received credit for just more than 150 days he has already spent in custody.

The Utah Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Lloyd in February after serving a search warrant on his home in Sunset. Agents reported finding more than 100 files of children being sexually abused or exploited. Lloyd admitted to viewing hundreds of images over the past three to four years.

In May, Lloyd pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, second-degree felonies. Six identical charges were dropped as part of his plea deal.

Lloyd’s home is adjacent to Sunset Junior High, according to arresting documents. No children lived in the home with Lloyd, police reported.
