OGDEN — One person has died in a car crash Friday on Washington Boulevard in Ogden, police say.

Ogden Police Lt. Brian Enyon said two passengers were injured and a male driver has died after a single-car crash at about 5:20 p.m. Friday, March 17, at 1600 Washington Blvd.

Enyon said the driver veered off the road and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no indication the driver was impaired at the time of the crash, but the crash is still under investigation, Eynon said.

A female passenger in the front seat suffered a broken arm, and a male passenger in the back seat received several injuries but is in stable condition, Eynon said.

Northbound lanes of Washington Boulevard were closed from 12th Street to 17th Street, Eynon said, but are now open. Southbound lanes remained open as crews responded to the crash.

Police have not released the name of the man pending notification of next of kin.
