CLEARFIELD — A former martial arts instructor was arrested Thursday after being accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl under the age of 15.

Damian Fullmer, 20, of Clearfield, was booked into Davis County Jail on six counts of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of forcible sodomy of a child, a probable cause statement filed in his case says.

Fullmer met the girl through his job as an instructor at Evolutionary Martial Arts in Syracuse, where he taught children, the court record says. A statement released on the business’ Facebook page says Fullmer has been terminated from his position there.

On Wednesday, the teenager told police that around September 2016, Fullmer picked her up in his vehicle and took her to his home multiple times without her parents’ knowledge, according to the court record. The girl said while they were there, Fullmer engaged in sex and oral sex with her, according to the statement.

The girl told police she and Fullmer communicated through Facebook Messenger and text messages, where nude photos were exchanged, the court document says.

Fullmer was arrested by Clearfield police and booked into Davis County Jail at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20, in lieu of $150,000 bail. He bailed out later that morning, according to the jail.

A news release from the Clearfield Police Department says there is no evidence there are more victims. However, anyone who has information about the case or believes there are more victims can contact police at 801-525-2806, the release says.
