UPDATE: Brooklynn has been found safe and is back with her family, police say.
CENTERVILLE — Police were looking for a missing 12-year-old girl Thursday morning, officials said. She was found safe later that day and is now back with her family.
Brooklynn Nicole Rutledge ran away from her Centerville home Wednesday. She had last been seen wearing a light gray t-shirt and was riding a lime green and black scooter.
Police say Brooklyn is 4-foot-9-inches tall, weighs 65 pounds and has blue eyes and straight blonde hair.
Centerville police said a pinged cell phone located her at the Farmington FrontRunner station at about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, but then phone was then turned off.
Anyone with information about the girl’s location is asked to call Centerville police at 801-292-8441.
