UPDATE: Ogden Fire Department Deputy Chief Eric Bauman said the cause of the fire had not been determined as of Friday afternoon. Bauman said that investigators are examining the case and it is an open investigation.
OGDEN — Two families have been displaced after a fire broke out in their Ogden home Thursday evening.
At 8:33 p.m. Thursday, Ogden Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 446 E 20th in Ogden. The building is a two story, two unit residential home, according to OFD.
Crews reported heavy fire when they arrived and had the fire extinguished within 10 minutes.

The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage, OFD says. The cause is unknown and under investigation.
Seventeen firefighters from Ogden and Roy Fire Departments responded to the scene. The Northern Utah Chapter of the Red Cross is also en route to assist the families.
No one was injured.
