OGDEN — A West Valley City motorcyclist is dead after a crash Saturday afternoon on 21st Street in Ogden.

Two motorcycles were in the eastbound lane near 800 West 21st Street when a rental truck pulled in front of them, according to Lt. Nate Hutchinson of the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.

One rider died at the scene, and the other was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, Hutchinson said.

The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of the family.

Crews were still on scene as of 5 p.m. Saturday.

The agencies that responded to the crash were the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, Weber County Fire, Ogden Police Department and Ogden Fire Department, according to Weber County Dispatch.
