WEST HAVEN — Police have identified the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday

Weber County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Matt Jensen said the victim was 49-year-old Scott Robinson of West Valley City.

Robinson was one of two motorcycle riders involved in a crash Saturday, June 17, near 800 W. 2100 South in West Haven.

The two motorcyclists were in the eastbound lane when a rental truck pulled in front of them, Weber County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Nate Hutchinson said Saturday. The two riders were forced to “lay their bikes down,” to avoid directly hitting the rental truck.

Robinson died at the scene of the crash, and the second rider was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, he said.

The incident is under investigation, Jensen said, and any possible charges are pending based on the outcome of the investigation.
