CENTERVILLE — Police are responding to a reported bomb threat at the Target store in Centerville

At 7:13 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, Centerville Police Department received a report of a bomb threat at Target at 200 N. Marketplace Drive in Centerville.

Centerville Police Chief Paul Child said the building was evacuated for almost two hours while police and firefighters searched the building with a bomb sniffing dog, looking for anything that was out of place. Nothing suspicious was found.

Two other Utah Target stores have received similar calls tonight, one of which was also a bomb threat, Centerville Police said in a tweet.

“We believe this is a hoax,” police said.

This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
