FARMINGTON — A Davis County woman has not been seen in a week, and police say the tips they’ve received have yielded no results.

However, her family hopes she may be in the Farmington area.

Jeanna Rochelle Reid left her home around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, and has not been located since, according to a press release the Farmington City Police Department sent out Thursday, Oct. 5.

The FCPD sent another press release Tuesday afternoon indicating Reid has yet to be found.

Farmington police chief Wayne Hansen said the police department has received multiple tips regarding the case, but are no closer to locating her.

Hansen said Reid has been missing for short periods of time before but has been found quickly. Hansen said she has used UTA busses or trains to get around in the past.

Reid’s family has recently launched a Facebook page, named “Find Jeanna Reid,” as a place for people to submit tips and check for updates regarding Jeanna’s disappearance.

Doug Reid, Jeanna’s father, said they have received a number of tips since her disappearance, and he said he hopes she could possibly be hanging around Station Park in Farmington.

Doug said the family has received tips that Jeanna was supposedly seen in a handful of stores in the area*, and he hopes she could be frequently nearby.

Doug said that if you see Jeanna, take a picture and call the Farmington police, who can get in contact with family members.

However, Doug said to be delicate while doing this, as trying to take her picture could cause Jeanna to become nervous and shut down toward others.

Reid is 26-years-old and suffers from a degenerative brain disorder, the FCPD press release says. She is described as 5’9” weighing 130 pounds with a shaved head.

In one Facebook post, the family echoed Doug’s instruction, telling people to take a picture so the family can verify if it is Jeanna.

Doug said they received a tip that Jeanna was seen Friday riding a FrontRunner train from Salt Lake City and arriving in Farmington.* Doug believes his daughter could be riding the train to different places throughout northern Utah.

None of the sightings have been confirmed with police or her family.*

Doug also said he and his family have talked to different UTA bus drivers, and he said it is less likely that Jeanna is riding busses to get around.

Jeanna Reid does not carry money or a cell phone, and she has recently showed a “fascination with homeless and Native American people,” according to Tuesday’s press release.

Reid is believed to have been wearing a blue coat when she was last seen. The blue jacket is similar to the one pictured below.

If you or someone you know has any information regarding Reid’s whereabouts, please contact Sgt. Eric Johnsen with the FCPD at 801-451-5453.
