West Point man formally charged with murder in connection with shooting death

FARMINGTON — A West Point man has been formally charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Salt Lake City area man. 

Robin William Lundin, 28, was formally charged Monday with one count of first-degree felony murder, according to court documents.

Lundin is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Scott Barney on Sunday, Nov. 5 in Lundin’s West Point home.

Police responded to a call of a gunshot wound at 438 N. 3275 West in West Point at 1:36 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, according to a press release from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Lundin was being held without bail at Davis County Jail. 

Lundin’s initial court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 27 at Farmington’s 2nd District Court.
