According to court documents, Carreras went to Woodson’s residence at 1331 N. 400 West in Sunset to buy marijuana.

Woodson allegedly sold Carreras spices instead of marijuana and Carreras shot him multiple times with a 9mm handgun, court documents say.

He then fled the scene and was taken into custody 30 minutes later at his home in Layton, Sunset Police Chief Ken Eborn said. Another juvenile witnessed the shooting and provided police with Carreras’ identity.

Carreras’ first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29 in Farmington.
