OGDEN — An Ogden man has been accused of raping a woman and threatening to harm her and her baby.

Jeffrey Alik, 30, was booked into Weber County Jail on Saturday, Feb. 24. He has been formally charged with one count of first-degree felony rape, according to online court records.

Charging documents indicate the victim told police that Alik forcibly entered her home and raped her.

Shortly after, Alik was interviewed at the Ogden Police Department, the document says.

After Alik was read his Miranda rights, police asked him what happened at the victim’s house. The charging document states Alik told police he grabbed the victim, told her he was sorry then “forcibly had sex with her.”

Alik also told police that the victim “kept saying no” and tried to push him away during the attack.

Alik is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bail at the Weber County Jail. As of Saturday afternoon, he was still being held at the jail.

The initial court appearance for Alik has been scheduled for March 13 in Ogden’s 2nd District Court.
