1 man dead after car, motorcycle crash on Washington Boulevard

At 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle was reported at 1250 N. Washington Boulevard, according to Weber Emergency Dispatch.

OGDEN — A West Haven man is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Washington Boulevard Wednesday afternoon. 

At 4:12 p.m. March 7, a motorcycle was traveling north on Washington Boulevard when a crash occurred with an SUV that was making a westbound turn on to Washington from Canfield Drive, according to a news release from the Ogden Police Department. 

The 20-year-old driver of the motorcycle was declared dead on scene, OPD said. He was wearing a helmet. 

The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of family, OPD said. 

The 73-year-old Ogden man who was driving the SUV was not injured. He was the only occupant of the vehicle. 

The Ogden City Police Department Traffic Bureau is investigating. No citations have been issued at this time. 

According to an OPD tweet at 5:50 p.m., the road is now open again.
