PRESTON, Idaho — Four LDS missionaries survived a deadly car crash in Preston, Idaho, Wednesday afternoon.

The four members of the Logan Mission, who were in the same car at the time of the crash, were injured and are expected to recover, but the two occupants of the other car were killed in the crash, according to a press release from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The four who survived were identified as Elder Charly Sistrunk, 67; his wife, Sister Debra Owens Sistrunk, 62; Elder Elijah Wall, 19; and Elder William Wilson, 18. The Sistrunks are Preston residents and Wall and Wilson are from Kentucky, the release says.

The press release did not say what happened to cause the crash, and did not say what the missionary’s conditions were as of Thursday morning.
