SYRACUSE — A 24-year-old woman is in serious condition after she hit a parked camping trailer Sunday morning.

Syracuse police say Jewl Bagley, of Ogden, was traveling east near 1700 South and 540 West when she crashed into the back of a parked camper trailer.

Bagley was driving a 1994 Hyundai Excel when she hit the for sale trailer that was sitting on the side of the road.

Damage to the trailer is estimated at $2,000. Charges may be filed against the driver and trailer owner, according to Syracuse Officer Erin Behm, as “witnesses say the trailer had been parked beyond the 24-hour time frame.”

Behm said Bagley is in serious, but stable condition as of 5:30 p.m., on Sunday.

No other injuries were sustained in the accident. The trailer was unoccupied at the time the incident occurred.
