MIDVALE — Unified Police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old man in serious condition early Monday.

Officers found an empty car with broken windows in a parking lot.

A nearby trail of blood led officers to an apartment, where they found the man with gunshot wounds to his lower body.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1pAKWaX) the man was hospitalized in serious condition.

Hoyal says officers have few details about the shooting and ask anyone with information to call police.
