Outdoor-loving college students could soon have a way to turn their passion for recreation into a vocation.

Weber State University is partnering with Illinois-based Camping World on a contest that will ultimately provide $30,000 in seed money for an outdoor-related business concept.

Students can submit 90-second video pitches of their ideas for products or services to starting Jan. 5.

Competitors don’t need to have a final product to show, but they do need to work to promote their idea online. Internet users will help winnow the competitors to 25 semi-finalists, voting for their favorites between Jan. 26 and Feb. 15.

From there, a panel of industry experts will choose 10 finalists and bring them to Utah to help hone their concepts. The finalists will compete for the prize at Snowbasin, Wolf Creek and Powder Mountain resorts March 22-24.

The competition is open to all U.S. college students. Online voting begins on Jan. 26.
